Here's an easy one that can save a lot of time. Many of you already know about it - but we've discovered that many more don't.

The fast and easiest way to change which company you're looking at in a chart is to just type the ASX code. You don't need to click in the symbol box first, or anything like that. Just type.

The moment you press the first letter, a window appears with that letter in there. Type the remaining letters and press enter.

So, as an exercise try this:
  1. Open a chart
  2. Type 'B'  'H'  'P'  'Enter'
  3. Type 'T'  'L'  'S'  'Enter'
  4. etc..

Troubleshooting
If this doesn't work for you first go, there's a few things to look for:
  1. The chart may not be in focus. Click on the chart first.
  2. You may have a drawing tool (eg trendline) selected ready to draw. Overtyping gets disabled so that you can use the http://www.bullcharts.com.au/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=105 - snap-to price feature.
