Does anyone know how to put trading bands(envelope) to trace stock price action ?  .
The problem : trading bands allow to specify percentage deviation from the moving average. Since deviations are different for different stocks then in most cases trading bands cover either very low % or very high % of price action.
What is required here , I think, is to specify stock specific deviations from the moving average.

I know , someone will say to use Bollinger bands to solve the problem.  However, I reluctant to use BB since they do not serve my purpose .

Is there any way to measure how much trading bands do cover price action , eg. 80% , or 95% ?

thank you

In Indicators, select 'Moving Average' in the bottom window box.

From the options available, 'Envelopes' or 'Trading Bands' should do the trick.

Thank you for your post, however the problem is different.

I can create trading bands or envelopes.  HOwever when you set up percentage deviation from the mean(EMA) then the fixed percentage is OK for some stocks (cover most of price action) BUT not suitable for other stocks , ie. either bands are too narrow or too wide.

Is there any way to adjust deviation percentage to be different for different stocks ?

We need a option to use this indicator ONLY for specific stocks. Can BullCharts investigate if such option is feasible.

thank you

Maybe a bit difficult.  In time maybe but at this stage we have a long list of user requests and we pick the most requested etc
