I tried the pivot point indicator and found that on the daily chart it givies you the corect pivot lines but when you change to a five min chart that the pivot points change to show the points of the first five minutes of that day which is not right because you want the indicator to stay on the daily indicator levels while looking at a five minute chart the next day. I may be wrong but could you have a look.

Thanks.

Yes, unfortunately this is something that BullCharts (pretty much most charting programs) can't really get around.

This is because BullScript (which the indicators are written in) does not work in terms of days, weeks or minutes. Rather it works in terms of bars. So this also applies to all the other indicators in BullCharts.

Interesting idea. We have toyed around with ideas in the past of having multiple time scales on the one chart.

Where can I get the Pivot Point indicator that Billy is talking about?

And will it be possible to check whether or not a pivot low is lower than the previous pivot low?

failing to plan is planning to fail.

I believe the broken Pivot Point indicator under discussion is available on the Downloads page.

It's now possible to do this kind of TimeAxis/period adjustment in BullCharts 3.0.1. Insert the indicator, then adjust the period in the advanced tab.
